sDrive?

So, anyone care to fill me in on what the sDrive is all about? Is this going to be a new descriptor for all new BMW models or just the Z4?

It's new for ALL RWD cars, like the 'X' is for AWD

To remind people that those vehicles "drive". If BMW ever makes airplanes they will be known as "blabla"Fly.

this is horrible, this doesnt go alot with BMWs perfect traditionaly naming scheme. i wonder why they would add this extra level of confusion. I have to assume all Z4s are 'sDrive' cars so why name it?? It should simply be listed as a feature in the features list and not an actual name for the car on the body... maybee they should name all BMWs that use tires as 'tDrive', etc..

I will debadge the sdrive as my first thing I do when I get the car

Have to agree, model deletion is definitely an option I'll be taking - the sDrive badge and the Z4 badge just look awkward and unnecessary on an otherwise great looking car.

I was on the wall about the Z4 badge removal however. Are you going to definitly delete the Z4 badge as well? (the sdrive is going to be a must for all Z4 owners

At least this way I'll be able to tell when an enthusiast is driving said vehicle...if the sDrive badge is gone then we shall all know it is an enthusiast behind the wheel...not a muggle (regular person, lol if you know where that's from).

yes, I think it looks awkward where they've stuck it on the trunk. It looks like they added it as an after thought.
