Pre LCI Coding start/stop memory

Hi

On most of my previous BMWs, the first thing I've coded is auto start stop memory so it remembers me setting it "off". On my M5 Pre LCI/LCI crossover model (January 2020), the option appears in Bimmercode but doesn't seem to do anything. If I code the setting to fully disabled, then it stops it working completely, but leaves some error codes that can't be cleared. I'd rather have the memory option which it seems some people have managed to do.

Anyone advise how I do this or if I have to do it via esys?

Thanks

You don't need to code it.

Just push the button to turn off Start/Stop, and the car remembers the setting forever.

No, it doesn't. I hit it all the time and it reverts by itself.

Only the LCI remembers. Pre will revert back. I coded mine off and it doesn't leave an error code. I think you did something wrong.

As I said, the US doesn't behave the same as the UK models, it never remembers as default. It's not hard to code the memory, it's literally one setting in Bimmercode but it doesn't work on my specific I-level/build level. I want to know if esys has a different option that needs to be coded. A number of people report the same issue with Bimmercode in the UK

I have pre LCI. It does not revert back.

Mine is a 2020.
Must be thinking of my X5 then. Caused me to code them both off lol. Oh well. Useless. Would have rather had remote start!

I do love that auto hold remembers in the M5 but it doesn't in my X5. And auto applies the damn parking break at start up in the X5. Very annoying.
