335i, Clutch A appears to be failing
So I got the xHP flash tool and took a look at the transmission values below. It appears clutch A is going.
What are my options at this and how much is it gonna cost? It;s a 2014 with 92k miles. Thanks, Aaron *EDIT* I should mention also that I'm having hard downshifts when slowing down from 3-2... https://freeimage.host/i/hc5KCJ Last edited by ajrettke; 06-11-2022 at 12:10 PM.. |

Can't comment on whether or not that actually means its failing, but the best and pretty much your only (AFAIK) option for rebuild is https://www.puredrivetrainsolutions....-transmissions

In another thread, I found guidance saying it's fine as long as you're within +/- 350mbar. I'm with n55david unless you're actively having problems with shifts.
Edit: these are old, but the last time I checked my values at 60k miles I had -126 for A, -126 for B and +184 for C. You're fine. Last edited by Eschmacher; 06-11-2022 at 09:39 AM.. |

K, thanks, I'll keep an eye on it and see if it starts to get worse. I forgot to mention though that I was starting to get hard downshifts from 3-2. I did a transmission flush when it started about two months ago and the system remained the same. I'm wondering if I should try a stage1 from xHP? Would that make it worse if or perhaps fix it?

XHP wont fix a mechanical problem, but it can improve shifting. |

Stage 1 should be identical to the stock calibration minus the torque limits.

Mine shifted horrible after service, on a hoist. But after i figured out the gearbox wasn't level I could get 0.7L more in after adjustment. Now it shifts like butter You have to check right under the fill plug with a spirit level to ensure it is level. Not on oil sump since it is tilted |
