Aftermarket Version of 330d dual tip

Anyone know of an aftermarket equivalent of part #18302296889

I put the m performance bumper on my 328d last summer and desperately need to get rid of the single tiny exhaust tip. Would like dual tip to fill out the cavity in the bumper.

This seems to fit perfect except it's $350 for a tip. Hard to justify that…

Anyone know if a replica tip or something that fits just as well?

This will not work with an LCI 328d. You'll have to get someone to weld a bracket hanger on it as the muffler on the US LCI 328d hangs from the pipe and not the bumper compared to the pre-LCI. I don't have an answer for anything other than these for dual tip on a diesel.

Interesting. I was told the opposite by someone else on here. That this part number fits my pre LCI.

I can weld. Doesn't bother me. I don't like clamps so was planning on welding anyway.

I'm not set on that tip, just want an H style dual tip that would fit my single exit m performance diffuser.

Iiirc even that part has to be modified for US models. Have to cut and weld in an extension pipe to get it to line up with opening.

Ergo instead of buying it and going dual tip, I bought the correct 320i/320d single tip diffuser which was hella cheaper than that part. ($90 shipped from ikon)

Gotcha. I plan on welding it in anyway. I want dual tip though plus I already have dual tip m performance diffuser installed. It's carbon fiber and doesn't flex much which means I have to pull the bumper again to remove. Not about to do that.

My opinion? Just get an exhaust shop to weld in. The second pipe and tip. Maybe get the last few inches off a 328i as a donor or a 320i… any competent muffler shop could do that.

Not worth 300 bucks to buy the part only to cut it apart and weld in extensions on it anyway.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=12

Edit: hell, if I was gonna do it (and I gave it a LOT of serious thought and planning) I’d cut out the muffler and run a new pipe over to the last few inches of a 328i pipe and tips. Be one hell of a lot easier.

320d with no muffler is damn near the same note and loudness as with muffler so it isn’t going to drone or sound like a teenie bopper with a fartcan and a crackle tune

Or just buy an aftermarket dual tip and mod the pipe from the single to muffler to fit the new dual Y tip… or one of the offset oval tips?

This part will fit the pre-LCI what I stated was I have an LCI version and I'm going to have to get something fabricated.

LCi and pre LCi USA are identical exhaust. It’s in Europe where there is a difference in exhaust and also power plant pre LCi to LCi. That is MY understanding.

I believe the Pre-LCI muffler, the hanger is attached to the Muffler itself, on the LCI the hanger is attached to the part you have to cut off in order to install these tips.

Ah so you have to fab a hanger too then on LCI… that deal on the tips is getting worse and worse.

Seems like after all is said and done, all you wind up with is two Chrome covers for 300+ bucks.

I got two larger black ones for approx. $30 on eBay, lol. Even though I only needed one.

That's what I'm looking for. That's why the first sentence asks if anyone knows of an aftermarket equivalent….

I would never pay $300 for a damn exhaust tip. I'd just weld up some stainless steel pipe and deburr the edges before I did that.

I'm looking for an aftermarket alternative that will get me that look. Preferably, I'd like a $30 eBay h-style single to dual tip. If you can share some that fit, would be great

So is there a different part number for the US 328d that's a direct fit?

I just want h-style single to dual tip that will allow me to cut the stock the stock tip and weld on an h style dual tip in its place. Like instead of plug n play, weld n play. I'd prefer not to have to change exhaust brackets and all that given how many aftermarket tips are available on eBay

No, unfortunately not. I've been searching as well for a simple solution but I haven't seen anything that would work without some sort of customization. Our tip is on the left side of the opening. Every aftermarket tip I've seen just won't line up right.
