Carley Scanner

Anyone used the Carley scanner for the G42?

Is it worth it?

I have been considering Kies Motorsports WiFi eNet device thingy. Seems like it connects with a bunch a different apps like BimmerCode, bootMod, etc. Not sure but it sounds like it may have the same functions and maybe more than Carly?

I've had fantastic luck with Carly for my e90. Was able to tell my Indy mechanic what was wrong before they knew…and I was right

I use the Veepeak OBD2 adapter and it has always worked no matter the model I plugged it into. Used it for my G42 as well. Highly recommend that one

No drama with either. Both are very easy to use and I highly recommend both. Use BimmerLink if you need to do on-the-fly things, such as reading sensors, battery voltage, exhaust flaps, and more. BimmerCode is more for coding actual things into the car or coding things out. And it's super easy to use. Open the app, click on your model (G20 for the G42 for now), click on a module, check the things you want to code, and then it'll code & reset your car. Easy peasy.
