take a long flathead screwdriver, butter knife, etc and put it in and slightly twist, not to break it off, but just so that it pops out of place

make sure you do the top one first, it'll take some time but it'll eventually come out

Well I started at 5:30pm and successfully ended at 10:00pm. Its only that one part that slowed me down. I must have spent 2 hrs on each side. I was so careful not to snap off any of the clips ( I didnt break any in the end). I didnt want to use a flat head, instead i used a butter knife which had more flex. That worked the first time. The seccond time i played with it for 1 hr and 45 min till i gave up and looked for another tool, when i found a wood chisel ( like a serew driver, except with more of a wedge tip) this worked instantly. I also found that a flash light and mirror also helped.

Thanks guys for all your help!

haha....

heres my long-ass story of my PMB installation which took hours..
WARNING: its very long, and may be boring to most of you, but i typed it so read it... or dont

i started around that time too! it was a bad choice though, even with my friends help i ended at like 9pm. for me the problem was everything! first i couldnt get the wheel wells off on either side. in the end i realized, i took the wrong hex's off on the bottom of the bumper. i took of the nuts for the front bumper, not the last 2 for the wheel wells, so i put those screws back. once i got the wheel wells finally off i couldnt figure out what "cover for the angeleyes bulbs" was which (the instructions were printed in black and white and the arrows were very unreadable). i ended up taking off the cover for the xenons and broke a clip in the process. Then even after i took that off, i didnt know i took the wrong cover off. So i was looking all over for the angel eye light and i ended up taking 2 screws off a square silver looking box, when i found out there were 3 screws holding it in. i was like "this cant be it..." at which point my friend figures out the ACTUAL angel eyes cover... so i put the wrongly removed things back. When i realized which cover was for the angle eyes i was like, "i cant see the damn thing at all" so it took a Loooong time to get them off. the first one, i got the top off and i thought i broke something since it made such a loud crack sound. then i went for the bottom, as soon as i got the bottom off, the top popped back in. I repeated this half a dozen times before i finally got it off. When i got it off, it took so long to get the long screws out. i put in the PMB lens and turn on the lights to check it out. It was the wrong color i thought! i had recieved white instead of hyperwhite!! i thought to myself "its only white in the daylight, once it gets darker it will become more blue" so i put the angel eye cover back on. and start on the other side now. but wait, did u realize i just forgot to put the screws back on too? yea... i did didnt i.. f*ck! so i spent another long ass time getting the cover back off again, so i could replace the screws. Now i started on the other side. I began to say out loud to myself "why cant long be here.... why cant i live in cali?!" once i calmed down, i did the other side considerably quicker, but dont be fooled it was in no way quick. once again the top of the angel eye cover came out, but went back in when i did the bottom. in out in out... finally it was all in. time to put the wheel well covers back on. The problem was, it was pitch black out!!!!!!!!! i pulled out my trusty bmw flashlight from the glove compartment. and my friend and i were huddled too close for comfort, all sweaty from the hard work. Well i put one wheel well back on, and did the other side. When i put the other side back on, i realized, i did both sides wrong. When i looked on the bottom, the wells were sticking out on the edges at strut side! I had to undo both wells, and make sure the bottoms were tucked. Finally i got them in the right way and i put the screws all back in loosely with my hands since my friend did the other side and had the wrench i waited for him to finish with the wrench. At one point when he was putting the screws back in he said he couldnt get one of the screws to line up, so i did it and got it in and tightened them. Job well done. I start packing and just as i was about the finish, i hear my friend say, "dude, you forgot to tighten the screws on your side..." !!!!! By the time i finished, it was 9pm, pitch black out. I look at my hard work. The colors stayed white.... i indeed didnt have the hyperwhites! lmao... looks like im gonna go through all that again, but this time with some experience as to wth im doing.

some crappy camera-phone quality pics.

bimmer325 u opened the wrong covers like i did at first. the ones for the angel eyes unit is actually below that, it has only one top clip and one bottom clip. the surface that it contacts the clips is a square, but it is long in length.
