Help! Keyless entry not working tried all ideas in forums…
Keyless entry issue 2008 320d E91
First I've searched and feel like I have tried everything on all the forums. I am unable to get either of my key fobs to unlock or lock car. Blade key locks and unlocks as well as button on center dash. Car starts just fine with key in key slot it is NOT comfort access. I bought this car used about a month ago, never checked the keyless entry… my bad. Car was bought from a used dealer that said they didn't know about the issue. I've used my OBDLink MX+ with BimmerLink and I do not see an faults. CAS module says it's good… I cannot find any wire diagrams or voltage read outs to help aid in troubleshooting. I feel like I have tried everything… -Fuses are all good. -Wiring (at least I feel like I verified everything) did make one repair -Diversity Antenna (swapped with one used one, mine looked brand new no corrosion) took voltage readings see below. -Key Fobs (replaced battery and have one brand new one) I get the following voltage readings at the diversity antenna Starting from the top pin (#1) #1: 0v #2: .5v #4: 4.6v #6: 12.1v No change of voltage at any pin when any of the buttons are pushed on the remote. Non CA by the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks all. |

Check all the wires on the passenger side boot, pull the boot out of the socket and slide it down the wires to expose where they bend every time the hatch is opened and closed. Until you confirm that the 4 wires on the right side are not broken you are chasing your tail.
