06 325i Pricing
I found a CPO 325i 37k miles in NJ with the convenience and winter package for around $24k. Doesn't seem like the dealer will budge past this price. Does this seem like a good deal or should I pass on it?
Under the CPO I see that shocks are not included in the warranty, are balljoints and CV boots included? I really only care to have heated seats and a roof. I have found a 325i at a non BMW dealer for $20k. Thanks for your time. Nick |

On the other hand, I would think that it is about $1-2k overpriced for the equipment and mileage... Any other equipment on the car? |

I've offered 23k for the car. I doubt they will go for it but it's worth a try. I guess my negotiating skills suck or these dealerships want to make a ton of money on each sale.

I can give you 3 data points and let you decide. This is Houston market, which I found to be better than neighboring cities like San Antonio. These were all 2006 325i CPOs, prices I negotiated:
Dealer offer 1: 30k miles, monaco blue/beige, Premium, Winter, Xenon. $23790. Dealer offer 2: 26k miles, monaco blue/grey, Premium, Winter, Sport, Xenon. $24900. This was the best car on paper (nice options), but appeared to be beaten up inside. I passed. Dealer offer 3: 22k miles, sparkling graphite/grey, Premium, Xenon, i-Drive. $24275. Very good condition off the truck, even prior to certification and reconditioning. This was the one I took. There were very few hidden charges, other than a $50 document fee and $57 inventory tax fee, which aren't mandatory but which I agreed to. I objected to the $295 theft protection sticker gimmick. Keep in mind, in the Houston market, these things were flying off the lot due to 2006 incentives (3.9% even on a 60-month note, and first 2 payments paid by BMW). If those prices are better than what you are finding, please PM me and I will put you in touch with my dealer and salesperson (a personal friend of mine). There are slim pickings now in Houston this close to year end, but you never know what else might come in. |

Thanks everyone for you help so far. I have a few more emails out to other places, just waiting for a reply back on what packages are installed and will get back to everyone here.

Sigh...my quest continues.
So I found this car in Maryland, about 140 miles away: http://www.passportbmw.com/used-inve...eHistory=true# Comes with premium and cold packages but dealer won't budge past the internet price of $24,980. This is a worse deal than the first one. And another dealership had a similar one with 30k miles for 26,495 and they lowered the best price to $25,200. I offered 24k for each but does the group think I should try for 23? Last edited by npolite; 12-11-2008 at 11:46 AM.. |

06 325i
I have a 06 325i, that I want to part with before new years.
Its a black on black Sports package Premium package New rear runflats (200 miles on them) Car has 41000 miles Interior is in excellent condition Exterior in good condition. I have not put in the for sale section as I dont have pics, and most probably I will be trading it in. But I think if anyones looking for a well maintained black on black this is a good deal asking $21500 |

CPO 29k miles price: 21k http://www.perillobmw.com/site/used_...ude-media=true CPO 30K miles price:21K http://www.fieldsbmwnorthfield.com/u...seHistory=true CPO 25 K miles and price 22K http://www.perillobmw.com/site/used_...ude-media=true http://www.fieldsbmwnorthfield.com/u...seHistory=true http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= ( car below has low mileage 17k) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...3A1|240%3A1318 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...00&cardist=925 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...000&cardist=41 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...000&cardist=18 These are few examples. although these dealers are in different locations, I'm sure if you searched you would find a better deal. when I was looking for a 325I got an excellent deal on a CPO with 23k miles for $21500; but i went for a 2009 car instead. if you are looking for a 2006 with more than 20k then personally i would pay something around 22 to 23 . Although it might take some time and patience to get a good deal, check for different sources ebay,CL, autotrader and dealer websites etc. This is just my opinion |

Thanks again Yogi for the links. I only wish I lived near Chicago to get these excellent deals. Around the Philadelphia area it seems to be pretty tough to get anything near those prices but I'll keep trying. I may still go with the one in Maryland for 24k as the extra $1k may not happen for me. I'll try the NY dealerships in the next few days and see if I can come up with anything.
Yesterday was talking with a dealership in Delaware. They had a 325i CPO auto with the premium package and I really don't believe it but he wanted 26.5 and was telling me his cost was 24.5k. Thanks for the offer tabs but I want to stay away from the sports package since the tires are summer only. |

Other dealers in the area didn't budge under 29k for cars with more mileage and less options. And your crazy for not getting the sport package? LOL because of the tires? Do a tire swap the stock RFT sucks anyhow... you will me missing MUCH more without sport. Your best bet is going to bmwusa.com and using there CPO Search, you will be able to quickly find and compare the prices on all the dealers in your area. When I did I found huge differences in pricing. Then once you find a list of cars go to the dealerships website find that car, and email them an offer 2k below whatever its listed. |

Thanks index. Makes my deal seem pretty bad for only a 1k dollar difference. I'll try to get them down to 23, if not I'll keep looking. I doubt they will go this low because they listed it as $26.5.

Npolite, I know you hesitate to buy from out of state, but you might consider that you can have a car delivered for around 600 bucks last time I checked. If you talk to the seller and check out certain things (does it have body damage, has it been smoked in, etc.) then you can probably have a safe transaction, and you would really open up your options in terms of what you can get. Just factor in the shipping cost.

.. and also if you can find a better 06 330i deal w/ ZSP
I think its worth it and better value over the 06 325 and the 328i
