Rear left speaker not working E91

I recently replaced all the speakers in my car think my rear left speaker was blown due to it distorting and intermittently playing sound, turns out the new speaker has the same issue as the old one. I have tried to look for a bad connection both in the door and along the floor of the car but can't seem to find any breaks in the wire, if anyone has any clue as to what it could be that would be much appreciated.
the car is a 2011 e91 with the base stereo and cic idrive

Edit : Turns out one of the previous owners had a Parrot Bluebox system installed behind the head unit where one of the speaker wires had come loose. I have since removed that stuff and plugged the original head unit connector back in and it instantly started working again

The logical next thing would be the Head Unit.

Have any tips on possibly fixing the issue?

Get a new Head Unit unless you can do component repair on the existing
one without schematics.
Head Units must be programmed to the options on the car.

Did you try re seating the connector on the back of the Radio.
