I hate having a front plate. It ruins the whole front end on the G30 (or any car IMO). I got the front bumper on my E90 repainted (there was a small scratch on the bottom of the bumper). I had the body shop fill the plate holes. Car looked so much better without the front plate.

For the G30, I don't really want to get the whole front bumper repainted just to fill the plate holes. Has anyone used Bumper Plugs? Is it noticeable? If it is, I'd rather keep the front plate

I have the plugs and its better than seeing a plate there. I say go for it.

I installed plugs, also. I was thinking about having the plugs vs. a smooth bumper and being pulled over. Most cops (and people in general) are clueless about modern vehicle sensors and the plugs could easily be mistaken for just another sensor suite.

Try this solution for a front plate. Mounts underneath using existing holes/hardware. Can easily remove it in 2 seconds with a pull pin.

Now tell why almost all ugly teslas have no front license plates and why are they not getting pulled over for that violation and at the same time I have my G30 5% all around am also not getting pulled over for it so it's best not to bitch about the front license plate thing. Wow, I guess you feel pretty strongly about your front plate. We don't like them because no cars are designed with a US style front plate in mind. It screws up the lines of the front end design. It's an afterthought solution in most cases and results in 2-4 self taping screws drilled into a perfect bumper. They don't come from the factory with these holes.

Why don't you drill a couple of holes in your drivers side door and put the plate there? You don't see it while driving right? Your logic.

I can only imagine what your driver profile is like with 5% tint. I bet your car is slammed. You have 1000 times more of a chance getting pulled over for that rolling around like a baller.

As someone that lives in a state without front plates, I wouldn't want to buy a car that had holes in the front number if I could help it. So resale would be one reason not to like it.

For a guy that doesn't give a f*ck, you're sure worried about everyone else's opinion.

And yeah, bumper plugs are fine. No need to hit the paint shop for something so minor.

Get the matching color touch up paint from the dealer and paint the bumper plugs before putting it on you can thank me later. Did it on my wife's GX460 and it's barely noticeable since it's the same color as the truck itself.

Theres a website, I think it is literally called bumper plugs. They sell the plugs and they pre paint them to your color code for you.

My 540d didn't have the front plate mount installed, fortunately. However, my wife's Fiata was not so lucky. I ordered Bumperplugs and they look good enough. Sure, a new painted bumper would look better, but I'm not going to do that, so it works.
