Order new or take from dealer stock next time?
So I'm in the last stages of waiting for my car. The ship docked at Charleston Saturday. The car is at the VPC, expected to leave on the 8th, be here by the 12th.
I ordered at the very end of February. I knew it'd be 10 weeks at the time. The first 4 weeks were easy. The next two were exciting - the car was in production. The next two were hard - waiting for a ship, on a ship. And now I'm dying. Which makes me wonder if I'll do it again, or if next time I'll just take one from dealer stock that's close enough to the color/option combo that I want. Your thoughts? |

I think the wait is worth it. Also, it is good for people to wait a bit. We don't need instant gratification all the time. Order what you want a chill. What is a couple of months in the scheme of things?

I'm not going to vote in my own poll until late this week when I take delivery.
Right now I'm really wondering why I did this. I'm not known for being patient. But really my big mistake was probably getting into tracking it. If I had said "OK, 10 weeks is May 12" and then looked up on May 10 and called my CA, and he said "Car's here, come get it" I'd have been fine. But tracking and reading about others has been like peeling off a bandaid on a particularly sensitive, hair part, slowly. I'm betting, though, as I drive off in my new car, I'll forget the whole thing. |
