I just saw Doug DeMuro's review of the car and his review unit had a tachometer/rev bar on the HUD. Does anyone know how to enable this, or is it only available on cars with the track package? This is not enabled by default on my non-track package car.

When you put it into Sport does it come up? If not, go into settings and displays. There should be an option to change up the HUD to provide the additional information.

It doesn't come up in Sport or Sport+ mode, but I'll check the configuration later when I drive the car. I had already played around in the HUD configuration screen and didn't see it. My RS5 used to have it and I thought it was neat/useful.

They added it within the last couple months via an OTA update, I think. I noticed on my car some time last month.

I'll have to check for OTA again. From what I remember, the version installed on my car is a few months out of date. Maybe I'll have to ask the dealership to force it.

It was on my car since delivery in Feb. It's under displays, heads up display, additional displays, sport displays. Enjoy!

For anyone that has tested the tachometer in the HUD, i'm wondering how the bar moves, in the images shown, it's ofc at 0 speed, how does it look like once you go in higher rpms on the road?

Looks like something on top with some kind of strange angle...

---

I alway loved the M HUD display of rpm's who look more like this:

It's hard to describe. Almost like looking at floor tiles from a 45deg angle - as the tach goes up, more tiles appear horizontally. Theres 14 tiles, each 500 rpm. Neat animation IMO. It does the job it's designed to.
