Which mod - (1) Performance exhaust+intake OR (2) Sports Seats?

I have pretty much all the mods I wanted and my last two big mods would be the (1) exhaust+intake and (2) sports seats (I have non-sport). Now I can't decide on which one to get first. If you were me, which one would you get first?

Those are 5K a pop man. Way too steep IMHO......

I would second to go for the sport seats first. I had the non-sport seats on my E90 and the ZSP seats are more comfy.

I'm not considering the performance seats at all.

I almost pulled the trigger on the exhaust+intake but the sports seats got me thinking twice. I'm waiting for my m-tech tri-stitched wheel and smg m5 shift knobs so at this point it seems like the next logical mod would be the sports seats (to complete the interior retrofit). But my car is underpowered (a 328xi) thus my desire for exhaust+intake for better performance and sound. Thus my confusion on what to get first.

sports seats.

check Bavarian Auto Recycling for them, they always have some used seats for a good price $ (like 600-800 seat depending on if you need heated or powered ones and in leather/leatherette) - Evan@Tischer told me the upgrade for new ones runs about $2500

BTW allan... intake+exhaust is gonna help throttle response a little, but you'll probably only see about a 5hp gain from the both of them. Trust me, I have both and am driving the same car a you are.

I don't have zsp either and every day I get into the car I think to myself "You fucking idiot". ZSP seats + ZSP steering wheel are probably the best ideas IMO. Plus some newer performance products for the 328's are supposedly on the way so get those seats and steering wheel 1st and then why you have the cash for the other stuff you'll probably be getting some better stuff than whats out now.

I pm'ed Evan earlier today and I'm waiting for his response. $2500 is a little steep but definitely not out of reach.

My m-tech wheel is on the way so just really deciding on the sports seats. I'm surprised you're not quite satisfied with your exhaust+intake mod. But is your car a bit more fun to drive now with those mods or you can barely notice the difference?

How about intake + driver's seat. Later, do the other seat + exhaust.

its noticeable in sound more than in the pedal. I'm not in any way saying it doesn't help... it does. However like I said, I'd put the money into the steering wheel and seats 1st since there seems to be a few newer/better things on the way performance wise from some vendors.

Check out the bavarian auto recycling place though, Tischer is always a place I will continue to buy from cuz Evan has always been good to me but if you think about it, you could get some lightly used seats (can't be older than 06's and that place guarantees that they are all in good condition) for 1/2 the price of new ones, then you'd have some more money left over to get an intake or exhaust a little sooner or even right away possibly.

If you are looking for exhaust.. check out riss racing as they just came out with a new kit for the 328's, good video w/ sound and they'll be starting a group buy for them pretty soon.

Haven't thought about this but it's a good idea. Though I'm sure I won't be happy with just the intake and probably not with only a driver's sports seat as the wife should also get a nice front-row seat.

Thanks for the link. Your reasons definitely make sense and you're starting to pull me towards the sports seats. I didn't want to consider Bavarian auto recycling (the recycling part makes me concerned hehe) but I guess I should check it out.

cool let me know what happens...

I think I just found a full Msport steering wheel/airbag setup for $600. If it works I might be buying myself an early Hanukkah present!

Will do.

Lucky you. That's a great deal. I paid $1120 for mine.

Didn't realize my post count finally went over 500! Finally after two years!

its worth a shot though remember for e90's we have 06-09's with the same equipment... e92's would have 07-09 so its 1 less year to choose from. Its worth a shot... google them and give them a ring.
