I am off to New South Wales in Australia next Saturday for a month; I will mainly be between Brisbane and Melbourne any recommendations for places to go or things to do?

I am sure some of you have been before, any tips greatly appreciated

my dad stayed in new south wales for a month this summer 2nd time he has been there as we have family over there, i will ask him if theres any places thats worth checking out m8

I spent eight months there ten years ago, however, I don't think most of the stuff I got up to would be on your itinerary.

Highlights for me were The Whitsunday Islands, Surfer's Paradise (Miss Indy Car Competition ) and Fraser Island.

Have a great holiday anyway, Christmas BBQ on Bondi is it?

If you have a car in Melbourne then the drive along the Great Ocean Road past the 12 Apostles is fantastic, I really enjoyed that. Also Phillip Island to see Penguins was good.

In Brisbane, Surfer's Paradise is worth a look (although I preferred Brisbane itself) and I'd recommend the Versace Hotel where they stayed for I'm A Celebrity, we stayed there the summer it opened and it was cheesy but great.

I will be with family for Christmas so probably a BBQ I will check out your other suggestions too

I have a car Richard and was going the coastal route, I will make sure I see the 12 Apostles, I only have the one hotel booked for new year in Sydney Harbour so I could check out the Versace Hotel
