Black Sapphire Metallic/Coral Red
Does anyone have this color combo?
Up until today, it had been a toss-up between Space Grey/Coral Red and Monaco Blue/Saddle. Saw an E92 in Black Sapphire Metallic/Coral in person at the dealership and really liked it, enough that it's currently my first choice in terms of color combo. If I were to get it, it's a toss-up right now between the Grey Poplar vs. the aluminum trim. For those with the Black Sapphire/Coral color combination, are you happy with this choice after having the car for a while? |

I'm picking up my 09 Jet Black/ Coral Red 335i coupe on Monday.
This is my personal opinion but I think JB is much better. 1) It's easier to match (mods/ bodywork, etc) 2) It's a darker black 3) It saves you $500 ...But get what you want dude, Sapphire looks nice too. |

its the best combo ever everyone who looks at my car is like woah..they always point out how much they like the red seats and it looks perfect with the black..and its something rare you know get it man i got poplar and to me it gives a car more of a luxurious look than the silver but thats just me the thing about the car is you have to maintain it and it gets dirty fast good luck |

I got the JB. Everyone in DC drives a car somewhere on the gray --> silver continuum. Obviously, it's ultimately your choice 'cause you have to live with the car. Call me old and conservative, but I'm not a big fan of the red... Unique? Absolutely, just not my bag. Congrats on your soon to be purchase!

honestly i dont like black with red. you see it everywhere not just on bimmers. whenever theres a red interior available people throw it on black. understandable but its overplayed
but its your decision, and the only thing im telling you is get JET BLACK. even when its cleaned, black sapphire looks grey. i agree with what Noc57 said |

I agree, it's not really that unique. The first new 335i I saw in 07 was.....
black with red interior. But I've had a titanium silver e46 for years and even though I think it's one of the nicest colors on a BMW, there's no way I'm getting silver or anything close for another 4 years. So I'm between Jet Black, Alpine White, or Montego Blue. I haven't bought my car yet, but I've made a deposit and driving down to Florida to do so. Hopefully when I see it in person I won't change my mind. My mom has an 08 Montego Blue 335i vert, so I know what that's like. Everyone thinks it's beautiful, and she gets complements all the time. I like the blue but I dunno. Alpine White is really nice too, but it does seem more like a "chic" color. Saw a new M3 in AW and I was like, "meh."...but seeing some of the photo's you guys have of your AW 335's with tints and black grills look extremely pimp. ....But for now I'm sticking with my JB/Coral Red decision, can't wait till Monday |

I picked up my 07 two weeks ago. Black sapphire with coral red. totaly looks hot man, and the black/red combo looks real good. Everyone who sees the car is real impressed. The coral red can only be nice with the black or white of course!

well black sapphire always has some pros and cons over the jet black. i did say the few points that are really obvioius are:
1. jet black is cheaper by $500 2. sapphire black hides swirl marks better 3. sapphire black shows the shape of the car better since it has metallic shades on all the curves 4. jet black is darker hence more aggressive 5. jet black is really stunning at night if maintained right, i would say that it can be very very shinny 6. sapphire black is more like very very sparkling. if you are to look at the colour under the light, it definitely has it's sexy side. overall, i always get people to ask me if it's jet black so it really comes down to the fact that their difference in real world is very minimal especially at night. btw, i got the sapphire black/coral red/poplar. IMO, it's one of the sexiest and more unique colour. if i were to choose my combo again, it did definitely either be this combo or the AW/Coral red

I got JB/CR.
I don't like the BSM as it's not deep black as JB. I think JB has that total classic black look and everyone compliments how slick the car looks. But I also liked AW and had hardest time making decision between AW and JB. I agree a lot of AW in the forum look stunning but my fiance thought AW was bit in chic spectrum. Anyways, I don't think you can't go wrong with either JB or AW, but BSM? I don't know. It's harder to match the paint and that extra $500 doesn't do anything for me. I would rather get other option for that money. Plus, get grey poplar wood with CR leather. It looks stunning... |

It's a great color combo, good job choosing it! I have the same combo with black sapphire and coral red, my interior trim is black piano trim and if you ask me it looks AWESOME rather than grey poplar or aluminum. Aluminum really doesnt go with red interior, grey poplar is better, but black piano wow thats what im talking about
