Can I return my lease after just 1 month and lease a demo instead???

I know this is a weird topic but here is my dilemma, if anyone has been in a similar situation, please help me out:

I lease an 08 335i coupe in sparkling graphite a month ago and two days. I don't like the color at all and now I see on the website that I leased my car on there is an 08 335i coupe space gray/coral red interior and a navigation system with 7,600 miles. I have sent the dealerships email stating I would like to return my lease and pick up the same vehicle. I would even pay the same monthly payments despite that the car has 7,600 miles and mine has only 501.

My question is, can anything be done? Has anyone been in the same situation. The problem is they do not email me back. I don't know what to do. I've heard about lease trader but for tax purposes if I were to lease another car it would have to be by the end of the month. Don't know what to do here and I don't like dealing with dealerships.

In the state of CALIFORNIA there is no "COOLING OFF" period...once you signed there is no going back....

If you manage to convince the dealer to do it then you will be a very lucky person!!!! @ this point you have 0% chance to trade your current lease for another car.

They don't email you for a reason.

Enjoy your car, you're stuck with it.

I would say yes, Jersey City and Newark are great places to return the car.

SOL.

If it makes you feel any better, s. graphite is no longer offered so you are driving a "unique" color.

They might do it, but there will be all kinds of fees associated with breaking your current lease contract, so you won't get a good deal on the new car. So, it probably can be done, but you'll pay for it.

The dealer's not leasing the car to you. The finance company is the lessor.

It's not like returning a jacket at WalMart, my friend.

below are some of his threads:

which one is nicer sparkling graphite or space gray???

Does Anyone Regret Getting Sparkling Graphite?

Feeler:2008 E92 335i Sparkling Graphite Lease Takeover

Does transferring a lease ruin or hurt your credit?

And even though he already bought his SG, he is still wondering about other colors

Pics Request: 335i coupe titanium silver

Why can't BMW make a nice blue color?

Have you ever gone to the grocery store and tried to return a half bitten apple because you didn't want it anymore?

In all seriousness, the answer is technically you could return the car and lease a new one in the color you want. However (there's always a catch), you would need to sell the current car to the dealership as you would any trade in. In today's market, you should be prepared for a HUGE financial hit of depreciation, and your car is quite probably not worth close to what the payoff is. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer is not interested in buying it without offering you a very low number. Why should they? They need to sell what they already have on the lot, and cars aren't exactly flying out of the showrooms these days.

Sparkling graphite is a very nice color, and unless you can afford to throw money away, you'll need to live with it. What I don't understand is if you really don't like the color, why did you sign the paperwork? I would've been far less expensive to change your mind and possibly eat the deposit rather than what you're now looking to do.
