It's up to you. What are you looking for? BTW, this should be in the suspension section!

For front Strut Bar, I like OEM, for swaybars, I like H&R.

OEM Strut Bar is a DIY for $200, takes 10 minutes to install and makes a solid difference.

Curious if others have opinions on thicker Sway Bars. Aren't our sway bars dynamic anyway to actively help reduce body roll?

OEM is fine, but aftermarket is soo much better! I want a rear bar really bad!

Yes! I want the strut brace and I know I have a problem! Good news is I am just about done with the major mod stuff, and I don't think I will get the rear bar, install is close to $500 not including the bar.

not yet, Danny. you didn't even install the turbo kit yet. after turbo kit, you have to install the turbo controller, new header, downpipe, new muffler, new cold air intake, blow off valueand computer chip. those are just for engine, you have to change your sound system too. Let's say all JL audio? Man, you didn't even start to change the major stuff yet, how can you stop right there??? :rocks: you should mod your car until you can beat the new M3.

strut brace won't help in cornering

sway bars will.

if you want to be able to tell what you've just spent your hard earned money on you'll go with the sways.

a strut bar mounts between your struts above the engine and/or in the trunk

a sway bar connects left and right suspension bits, under the car

sway bars affect handling, strut bars increase body rigidity but don't change handling characteristics

go look at www.bavauto.com or something to see the difference

they dont' do the same thing at all

For those new to the forum, welcome. This is a great place to get quick info about our cars. You should also consider using the search function. Type in "Sway Bar," "Strut Bar," "Anti-Roll," etc. There's plenty of info posted and already discussed in recent months with photos, installs, technical info, etc.

Where did you hear that from? That's an interesting thought. I bet e90Fleet would know. If not, we can just find someone with a Xi and measure with a micrometer.

Lol. You mean "gay bar," not "sway bar."

The install of the rear sway bar is going to be hugely expensive because of the difficult e90 rear suspension

Say Danny, Ryan at DTMAutohaus can set you up with a rear sway bar. Long ran into someone from this post who just had that installed there.

Ryan's number is (626) 443-0319.
