M steering wheel

took my 335 to the shop the other day and got a x3 loaner for a couple of days. Love that car btw. The M steering wheel on it made the drive so much better. Right when i got my car back all i could think of is the M wheel. Any one hooked theirs up yet or have any hookups or links to where i can find the wheel.

thanks

Search the forum and you'll find lots of threads especially cosmetic and interior parts for sale.

It is an easy mod, a good DIY is here on the forum. You can find them on ebay.... like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-O...es#ht_3078wt_0. If you have paddles, they will not fit on the M3 wheel without cutting into the wheel with a utility knife. You can also buy the M3 paddles, but they are very expensive. I actually bought them and love them, but they were ridiculously expensive.

I agree the steering wheel for X3 w/sports pkg is nice. Unfortunately its not the same ///M wheel available for the e90.

I want one, but I don't have the sport package so I'd have to buy and airbag which I'm just assuming is really expensive...

how much is the suede one going for? I have a lease car so i dont really want to mess with the airbag and all that. Any recommendations? Maybe getting the dealership to install or something.

its not essential to cut the wheel. the step panels work fine without cutting but the fitment is not perfect... you cant really tell unless you look closely behind the wheel.

I have also had an X3 loaner from Vista BMW with an M wheel.

It also had the 19" wheels and the M sills.

That performance wheel is sweet!

The "M" Tri-Colored Wheel is SO-MUCH softer than the standard Sport wheel. Here's my install thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122287
