I completely disagree with Smith for this bullshit. Chris Rock is a Comedian. He has said far worse about many, many people at the Oscar's before. In fact, Will actually laughed at the joke himself! Only after Jada expressed her dislike of the joke did Smith act.
Chris is much smaller than him. Will came across as a bully and a temperamental jerk.

I say it's a real, and quite alarming behavior. If Smith hadn't gone on the tirade after the smack I'd have said it was fake, but you could tell the pain/realization in his voice/face about what he had just done while still trying to act tough wasn't a fake. The fact Rock was also momentarily speechless and then said "We're here to give a documentary" instead of an "award" just shows how taken by surprise he was by the whole thing.

Finally, Smith all but apologized for his behavior (while not naming Rock) in his acceptance speech for best actor.

I say 100% real, and the fact Smith wasn't immediately escorted from the building by security shows the ridiculous double standard these untouchables live by. You or I do that and they're throwing our asses out of there in record time and we're going downtown in the back of a police car.

The sad thing is, this is exactly what this failed show for the disgusting degenerates of Hollywood needed for people to get talking about it again. An act of violence. Wonderful.

On a scale of 1-10 on comments made by comedians at the Oscars to another celebrity in attendance? That joke was probably a 0.5.

He cussed twice at the Oscars which is a big no-no. You only need to watch the uncensored version to realize this is real.

I thought it was BS too. I saw a clip on IG and I was like...nah that ain't real. But it is everywhere and apparently 100% real. Props to Chris Rock for keeping his composure & remaining professional. The Joke was so minor compared to his norm...if Will is that much of a little bitch about shit he is gonna have a rough go of it for the rest of his career! Damn prudes, nothing was showing anyways...ok, maybe not 'nothing' but she had some weird ornament and it's just nasty and covered a lot of the sensitive parts that one couldn't really make it out.

It looked real to me from that one angle but that crazy tirade afterwards made it convincingly real for me. The joke itself was LAME, he just dissed her hairstyle. I get she's sick and that's why she has to cut it short and maybe it's a bit touchy, but didn't they teach ppl at grade school 'sticks and stones...'? If anyone can justifiably assault another just because of something they heard (no matter how offensive), that is just ridiculous and against the law (maybe the exception is the N word, maybe, but I don't see a good defence for physically attacking someone by saying the victim said 'some mean things'). ON TOP OF THAT, Will was laughing himself, only immediately afterwards presumably (cuz it was off-camera for me) he got mad because his wife wasn't amused by the joke and then he suddenly went 180 and decided to attack Chris. Just a weird series of events.

EDIT: then again, seeing Will as he turns and walks back there's a little smirk in there, so, I wouldn't be betting srs money on it being real. Also, why did he form a stance and why did Chris lean forward? If he was actually that PO'd, he's just gonna do one slap and walk away? Why not get in Chris' face and confront him some more? Who knows now, maybe it is fake and they did some stupidly strange and elaborate publicity act.

I dunno man, did you see my latest edit? I think it's just a weird and elaborate ruse, getting fake ppl to whisper nothings into other ppl's ears is just trying to paint the picture they want ppl to see (just like Michael Johnson faking his limp injury for a whole yr or so after he got destroyed by Donovan Bailey). They try to be thorough.

I recon it was all staged. He didn't even punch him, it was a bitch slap. Why would you do that? If you're gonna punch someone then do it properly. Also why was Will not immediately chucked out like any other person would've been at any other event.
