Vossen 24" HS-3 on M50 thoughts?
I have a friend trying to sell me a set of 24" Vossens for a smoking deal. I haven't seen any posts regarding wheels larger than 23". What are your thoughts on this set up for 2022 X7 M50i?

Would be interesting, but would also need to see how low the tire profile needs to be. The ride quality is going to significantly be different. Also, the load index for the tire would also need to be considered, since this vehicle is quite heavy.

If all you want is a car that looks cool, only for car shows, then yes, 24" wheels might be for you. But if you want to actually use the car on public roads daily, then I would not go larger than OEM. In this case, OEM is 23" on the XB7. But Alpina assumes if you can afford their mods, then you can afford multiple cars and repair costs. I would say 24's not only look wrong, but tire choice would be a nightmare. And in the coming years, tires (choices) may become more limited with all of the supply chain issues we are having. And I believe the lower the profile, the higher the wear = $$$. If the replacement tires cost more and are harder to get, you may be riding on worn tires most of the time. |

I do think 24s are a bit too big but here is a x7 with 24s on it
https://anrky.com/gallery/bmw-x74-0d-xseries-s3-x5/ I've been contemplating trying to up size to 23s but one thing I noticed is that it's an odd size and not very many tire options which makes tires very pricey |

Even with 22s I driving very carefully and can not imagine 24s. BTW that car is in Russia and probably you can imagine their road quality outside of big cities. |

That actually looks pretty badass! I wouldn’t go that route for a daily driver, but for a third or fourth vehicle, why not...looks pretty tough. All depends on the wheels, tho. The wrong wheels will look hideous! The right ones, tho...amazing!

Unless they keep spinning when you stop....I wouldn't see the point.
