45e Payload capacity

I am looking to order a 45e with the intention of using it to tow a camper with a GVWR of 5000lbs.

Can current 45e owners please share the payload capacity as indicated in the door jamb sticker? I have looked at a number of 40i unit and they all have a 849lbs payload capacity. Wondering if the payload will be lower for the 45e since it has the added weight of the battery.

Looking at spec sheet is 715 kgs = 1,576

Below is the technical specification for X5 45e

I’m in the same boat, going to tow an Airstream Bambi 22FB max 5,000 lbs

What you may be more interested in is the max tongue weight of 551#. BMW doesn't want you using a weight distribution hitch, but if you choose one of those, that by itself can weigh over 100#.

I was really intrigued by the prototype, electrified Airstream they showed at a few trade shows earlier this year...the wheels are electrically driven to help with range on any vehicle, but especially an EV or PHEV, and the logic automatically helps with preventing sway by differentially driving its own wheels. With an app, the thing can move itself, too for moving it to the vehicle, or around the camp site.

Thanks for the info. The sticker on the door jamb usually indicates a much lower payload and that's what I am trying to figure out.

With weight distribution hitch you can go to +600 lbs.
BMW doesn’t do any testing with WDH thus they don’t recommend, but WDH with Anti-sway bars is always recommended
