Question for the Camera Bods
Where is the best place online in the UK to order a:
Sigma 4.5mm circular fisheye f2.8 HSM Lens (Canon-Fit) From a firm that will hopefully still be trading at Christmas And does anybody know of a remote that I can attach to my Canon 400D that will allow remote taking bracketed shots (wobble free, more than the 3 default) - anything for iTouch yet ? Thanks D.

Have a look here http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/p-si...sheye-lens.htm they have them for £469
As for remote, are you after a cable release or wireless solution? |

cable or wireless ? Either, I just can't use the adjustor wheel to change exposure (more than the default 3 shot bracketing) without moving the camera on the tripod ever so slightly. Also means I can cover the eye viewfinder. D.

One of these for under £30?
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=102558 or something a little more advanced for £90 http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=102556 ETA- Reading your post it sounds like you may need a better tripod. |

And surely once you've set bracketting up it's just click... click... click with the camera changing the settings as you go?
If you need more than 3 brackets then think you might be a bit stuck, unless of course you've got a laptop nearby and can trigger it remotely for that? If you're that worried about movement you'll also want to enable mirror lock up.

Thanks gents.
I was experimenting taking about 10 bracketed images (the Canon 400D only has 3 bracket points, you need the more expensive cameras to get more). But even with my tripod I have to put my head up to the viewfinder and adjust the wheel, placing my hand on the camera. There is flex in my tripod, not sure that it comes back to the same point each time. Not too critical, but means that each expousre would be the same viewpoint - saves matching them manually. And leaving the viewfinder open also doesn't help with letting in more light. I'll look into locking the mirror. Thanks for the tip. It is to create 360 HDR images (real ones for CGI work, not the processed LDR JPEGs created from bracketed exposures). A good 360 environment iwith a full dynamic light range is priceless when rendering. And my big Chrome ball is a cumbersome and as smooth as a golf ball now D. It is to do stuf like this. I didn't take that 360 image, but want to make images like that myself. It gives a greater degree of realism for reflections, and can be used in the lighting solution too.

That looks amazing.
One things that might be worth trying, is placing a large weight on your tripod, i.e. A large rucksack, or similar so that it is weighted down, and less likely to move. a lot of landscape photographers do this to combat wind, some tripods even have a hook at the bottom for this purpose. Called back - on no, don't accept Credit Cards outside the UK ! "Explained" to him I had waited 1 hour to call back and then get knocked back. Not impressed. What is the point of having a Visa/Mastercard if they don't accept it ! Pity, it is about £100 cheaper than anywhere else. "Hello Mum, back for Christmas, can I borrow your Credit Card" ... D.
