A WARNING

Some of you no doubt, will have heard of this before but many will have not. I appreciate it's not a nice topic, but I'm sure you'll understand why this crime should be highlighted.

This concerns your wives, partners, daughters, sisters, Mothers etc, etc. and IS NOT A JOKE and has been forwarded by a member of the police force.

A woman putting petrol in her car at a petrol station is approached by a 'man' offering his services as a painter whatever. The woman said no thanks but accepted the card out of kindness. The 'man' then got into a car driven by another 'man'. As the lady left the service station, she saw the 'men' following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realised that there was an odour on her hand; the same hand which accpeted the card from the 'man' at the service station.

She then noticed that the 'men' were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway she found and began to honk the horn repeatedly to ask for help. The 'men' drove away but the woman still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath.

Apparently there was a substance on the card, a very dangerous substance:
The drug is called BURUNDANGA and it is used by 'people' who have the premeditated intent of incapacitating a victim in order to steal from them or take advantage of them The drug is 4 times more dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards.

DO NOT accept cards at any given time alone or from someone else on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping a card when they offer their services. These 'men' invariably appear perfectly 'normal' and have 'the gift of the gab'. Obviously deep down they are woefully inadequate and deserve various forms of permanent disfigurement to be slowly and painfully inflicted upon them (shame it's illegal - but......)

Anyone you know who has been a victim of this and or other types of crime involving drugs used to incapacitate, please urge them to report the incident.

I think you would have to be some sort of daft person to accept a card off a random dude in a petrol station, Unless its your local station then you could be from anywhere and if you are a local you know where to go to get some painting done.
But thanks for the warning. But like i said above you would have to be some sorta moron anyhow to accept the card.

surely this substance is more dangerous in an office environment where giving cards is normal. When out of the office meeting clients.

Unfortunately it is another internet hoax - the drug IS real, but would have to be properly ingested for any effect to occur.

Indeed.

If you feed all you read on the internet or get sent by email into snopes.com you'll find about 90% of it is rubbish.

One of the most common drugs to be spiked with these days is GHB or GBL, especially more so in a club.

It is odourless but has a salty taste. The first signs are drowsiness and maybe nausea, if you feel this way get to a member of doorstsaff or a friend straight away, before you pass out and hit the floor.

It is generally a safe drug at low doses, although at higher levels it can cause you to pass out. Combined with high levels of alcohol it can be fatal. It was once used as an anaesthetic many years ago.

Ive seen lots of people OD on GHB. It can take just a few ml's difference between a social high and 'goodnight irene!' (nothing to do with me by the way!!)

I know what you mean. I'm sure my wife spiked my drink the night I agreed to marry her and I'm living with the consequences of that 20 years later.

It was in my local as well on a friday night, my friends thought it hilarious as I staggered home and collapsed until they realised something was actually wrong.

I did report it to the police the next day, the pub I used to drink in was one of 2 close by where I live. 2 Seperate groups of people that didn't get on and from time to time the other pub regulars would pay us a visit. Just so happened I had been involved in an incident the previous week so it put down to someone getting some kind of revenge.
