"Bubles' in Steering wheel
Hi,
I have a friend that is having a problem with the steering wheel: in the plastic part (close to the volume buttons) a couple of bubbles appeared and the plastic broke in this part after a while, looks like a blister. Does anybody here have a similar problem ? I'm attaching a photo. |

If the car is under warranty, BMW will replace the steering wheel.

I have the same thing in my interior door pocket on the drivers side. It bubbled and peeled just like you are showing.
Next trip to the dealer, I will have them replace it. |

Take it to the dealership; they'll replace just about anything lol. I had a bunch of dings in my aluminum trim piece on the driver's side door panel and they replaced that and my passenger side one since they spotted 3 small nicks.

I had the same thing on the plastic trim of the steering wheel. Dealer replaced plastic trim no charge. I am also having the driver door handle problem with pieces flaking off. I am going the ask to have that replaced next. I don't undersand why they put a finish on their plastic instead of simply producing the plastic with the color they are trying to make. Tom
