BMS Intake, FTP Chargepipe and Intake Tube Combo, JB4 Install

Hey guys, just installed the FTP Chargepipe and intake tube combo along with the BMS intake and then the JB4. I just went for it! Didn't really notice any gains with the chargepipe and intake but the turbos sound awesome and it does feel like it spools up faster. Most definitely can feel the JB4(running map 2).

The chargepipe install was fairly straight forward. A fair warning with the FTP intake tube. BMW uses this ridiculous plastic crank case vent tube, on the G05 this is a T-connector to the crank case, intake tube and valve cover, which will snap with any kind of pressure. Seems to be a common problem within the Supra forums when doing intake swaps. Tried to super glue it but it kept breaking. I ended up ordering a new one from BMW and retrofitting it by inserting a flexible tube in the middle. Works like a charm! Not a critical part but didn't want bits of oil spraying everywhere.

The FTP intake pipe fits nicely and the BMS intake connects to it perfectly. As other members have pointed out, you have to drill out the aluminum on the BMS intake adaptor in order to get the air sensor to fit properly. Can take a while to get it right but it's fairly straight forward and worth it.

The JB4 install was fairly straight forward, especially with the stock airbox removed there was plenty of room in there to connect everything up. However, when running the OB2 connector wire through the firewall, I had to cut the wire, tape to the end of a coat hanger and feed it through. Then just spliced the lines back together and plugged it in. The instructions claim you can feed the plug through the grommet with the hood release cable but there is definitely not enough room for that plug to fit through without removing the hood release cable first. It seemed much easier/faster to just to cut the cable and splice back together.

All in, I love the mods and would recommend to those looking for more power. Hope this is helpful for anyone looking to do these mods!

Have both intake and JB4. You're due for a catless DP.

They are a must. Trust me. I'm super glad I went that route.

Is this avail on a 2019 G05 xDrive50i? Or only for 2020 M50i?

Curious to know why you changed the charge and intake pipes? Didn't think they were prone to failure?
