Headlamp Knob Switch Switch

So I'm in this 2009 and notice the headlamp switch has this nice aluminum trim. is there a way to remove the switch and make a "switch?"

So you would remove the existing switch and change it out because you need that trim? Why? I can barely see the thing when I'm driving.

I'm assume he wants to "upgrade" to the new version of the switch.

Now here is the question to answer: what is the new part number for the Euro switch (LCI version) which enables the rear fog lights? Anyone done this yet with a 2009?

done it. I had the chrome shiny switch in my MY'09, but did the fog light switch switch. I got it from getbmwparts.com about a month ago, it's not shiny..

Interesting, that part shows the manual level adjuster too. Does that work on US-spec (LCI) headlamps?

looks like you did the same alan! any mods yet?

everyone else,

i have the euro switch currently and wanted to just take the "chrome" knob part to swap. it seems that the knob is securely attached and unable to remove just that part. i could replace the whole switch but then no more rear fog.
