new member... a little intro

Hello,

I have been a member of bimmerforums for a little over 3 years but then heard that this forum is also very helpful, so I tuned in and read. Gotta say that this forum seems a lot more mature and more focused on helping its members and so here I am.

I've been a Bimmer fan for a while and have owned five and just purchased my sixth yesterday.

Bimmers I owned and sold were:
- '95 M3 Coupe
- '99 528i Sport
- '01 X5 3.0 Sport
- '01 325i Sedan
- '02 540i Sport

And now I'm the proud owner of an '07 335i Coupe in the color combo I've always wanted... Space Gray Metallic/Coral Red/Gray Poplar. It has the Prem Package, Sport Package and it has heated seats and headlight washers but the sticker does not show the Cold Weather package, so I'm not sure!

Anyway, it had just come off a two year lease and it has 16k miles... I love it.

My plans are to drive it for a while and then probably just do a Piggyback and Exhaust, but I'm still researching best options.

So, that's me and thanks for reading. Look forward to learning more about my new car.

Thanks for the comments. The RL is a great car and my wife would never trade it for anything. It's an awesome family sedan.

Here are a few pics of the 540i.

Welcome!

I see that you drive an MT! If so, then the easiest and most cost effective first upgrade for you has to be the perforated 6 speed M shift knob from Tisher BMW (getbmwparts.com). 1 inch lower than the stock knob, so the throws are shorter and faster. There is a DIY on e90post.

I just saw the covers, so I thought it has the washers. Maybe my assumption is wrong. I have the original sticker and it only lists Heated Seats as a $500 option. There is no Cold Weather Package option.

Cold Weather Package contains: heated seat, heated headlight washers, and split folding through-load rear seats with ski-bag. The heated seats and the folding rear seats were available as separate options but to get the headlight washers you had to have the CWP. In 2006 CWP was a $1000 option; heated seats were $500 alone.

OP, turn your headlights on and then spray the windshield several times. This will confirm whether the headlight washers are there. Then wash the whole car.

I have the split-folding rear seats and the heated front seats. I think the split folding rear seats are standard on the coupe as it does not show as an option on the window sticker.

For those who don't have the headlight washers, do they still have the plastic covers in the bumper? I thought the bumper would not have the plastic covers?
