Help My Car Died

I have a 2008 335I coupe it has 2300 miles on it and today the car stopped and will not run and the engine light comes on.

I start it again and it just stops I know I need to take it in but anyone have this trouble with such a new car.

I am a little disappointed about this.

Thanks any info would be appreciated.

car still under warranty...get it to the dealership and let them figure it out....roadside assistance should come pick up the car if it won't drive...

you need to read the forums more often. fuel pump failure is the most common failure of all.

Some people it has only happened to once, but some over 3 times. All depends on the pump. You might get one that wont go out for awhile or it might go out within a week or two. Who knows

I think at this point they are replacing bad HPFPs (high pressure fuel pumps) with new ones that have the 'problem' fixed. I dunno where I read that, somewhere on this forum.

The new ones have still died. Not really fixed, just the fuel pump lasts longer or something along those lines. I know it is a new unit, but I am certain they are probably still manufactured the same way they were in the beginning...well almost
