Non xi front sway bar on an xi car?
Hello, I've recently gotten X Delete for my 2007 328xi, since then I've search for increased handling, and I've concluded that I'd like a stiffer front sway bar. However, I cannot find any aftermarket front sway bars that fit xi 3 series for a reasonable price. Would a non xi bar fit my xi car or would it be completely mismatched? Thanks in advance for your help.

Not unless you switch to the rwd front subframe (which means a full rwd front suspension conversion and full Xi delete).
The E91 x-drive and the E84 x-drive have a different part number bar than all the other x-drive front sways. Likely its a bigger/stiffer bar due to the vehicle weight (probably thicker walls or a smaller tapered down section in the middle) |

I know that it isn't the same part number, but I was wondering if the non xi bars could be retrofitted onto xi cars in some way. If anyone has experience with that please let me know. I was looking at this bar and it seems really similar to the OEM xi bar as far as I can tell (though it claims that it doesn't fit xi) https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...grade-e82-e9x/
I wonder if this could be made to fit with adjustable sway bar endlinks. |

Update: So I've found a company that makes xi front sway bars, it is UUC Motorwerks, however, their front sway bar is incredibly expensive. It is over 400 dollars for one sway bar. Does anyone have a used UUC front sway bar for e90 328xi that they're looking to get rid of? Please let me know if there are any other options.

UUC Sway Barbarians
I have these on my xdrive e92. They are great.
Unfortunately, UUC Motorwerks is not doing well. See their reviews on Google. They don't respond to any attempts to contact them, though they apparently still sell some things. I broke a front bushing bracket and have been unable to get any support at all. The good news is that I've discovered that they are using the Energy Suspension Sway Bar Bracket Bushing 9.5171G. You can order these at AutoZone. Also FYI, the OEM endlink is the right length when used with KW V1 suspension. The UUC adjustable endlink was too long for me. |
