Need some quick advise for a used amplifier and speakers
My parents are going to give my sisters son (my nephew) an extra car for his 16th birthday. It is nothing great (1994 Acura TL)...but it is a good car. I would like to help him out with a decent system...just a good basic amp and speakers to get the job done...
To that end...what recommendations do you have for a used amp and speakers...4 channel to start...if he wants subs..that will be on him...I will be getting him a decent new headunit (BT and USB)...

Look into Image dynamics CTX series speakers. They sound real good for the money. Also look on ebay for an amp.

maybe $200 to $300 range...similar for a head unit...then speakers...then we spend the weekend getting it all installed...

That JL would be a good little amp. Run a set of nice front speakers, bridge 4 ch to run the fronts, power the rears from the head unit and bridge the last 2 ch for the sub. Should be good with a 10" sub. Where are you located?
