Lowering springs Eibach / AC Schnitzer

I'm thinking about lowering my E93 M3.

Someone told me once AC Schnitzer is using Eibach springs. Is this true?

Does anyone has lowered his car with one of these lowering springs?
Pictures in combination with the optional 19'ers?

Thanks in advance...

I don't have confirmation that ACS uses Eibach for their spring kits but it's entirely possible as they outsource their exhaust manufacturing to REMUS.

Here are some shots of the standard Eibach kit installed on Technic's E90:

We do have these in stock so let me know if you need assistance with a set!

That's what I hear too but this doesnt mean that they are the same springs because ACS are made to whatever specification ACS wants.

I hear that the ACS are more progressive, but both are very good quality.

My god, that E90 M3 looks stunning! More info on the wheels?

By the way, ACS does use Eibach-sourced springs. An other example is Techart.

That's the million dollar question.

Does anyone know if the drop is also the same? The Eibach looks like a mild drop just like the AC's

the drop looks to be similar. ACS measures their drop from the middle of the car where as Eibach measures the front wheel and the rear wheel.

Are these springs priced the same?

The AC springs retail for 9XX and vendors sell them for around 800-850 plus shipping.

Any thing that has AC Schnitzer stamped on it are more expensive anyways. I'm not sure if the spring rates are the same as the Eibach branded springs though. That might very well be the difference.

Makes what difference? They may have a slightly "better" spring rate, but I doubt it...just paying for the name IMO.

I say go with whatever you are comfortable with. Probably won't make much of a difference anyways. I went the AC Schnitzer route and will report back Monday after the install.

I am sure that you like the ACS as I hear only good things about them, but the price gauge for simply rebranding just kills it for me. GL

ACS springs not the same as Eibach

Hello guys,

I thought I would shed some light on this subject. ACS has their own suspension engineer on board by the name of Manfred Wollgarten. Manfred has been making BMW suspension set ups for over 40 years and is regarded as an expert in the field. He is also the test pilot for ACS and has tested all of his suspensions on the nurburgring during the R & D process. Over the years, ACS has partnered with many suspension manufactures (Eibach, Sachs, Etc) to build Manfred's set ups. ACS makes a contract with the suspension manufactures in order to insure that their R & D is only used for the manufacturing of the ACS product. There is a difference. ACS suspensions are world renowned because of Manfred's blend of track worthy handling, with real world streetablity. Manfred's latest suspension is the Racing Suspension for the E9X M3. It is a fully adjustable coil over set up with 20 position dampen control. He used an "upside-down" set up on the M3 for a number of reasons. This set up reduces unsprung suspension weight and can be adjusted easily from under the car. It is extremely robust and can handle uneven surfaces while promoting a long useful suspension life. I put this race suspension in my car and I can attest that it is nothing short of amazing. Here are some shots of the suspension and my car as it sits. Dampen control set to +13 front and rear and loving it.
