Ram delay issue wait times at port?

My car is set to arrive in Galveston on the 12/26. My CA told me that then we have to wait for radio fix (RAM). What has been the usual wait times to get your car once it arrives port side in the US.. Galveston to Austin is only a 1 day trip but I feel like this may be a big delay…

I have a G80 Comp coming to BMW South ATX once it gets out of QC purgatory - will be curious to see your times from loading up on boat in Germany to arrival in Austin…

Congrats on yours - sounds like it's close!

Your car has the RAM stop sale. It's not a recall. It's an "enhancement." Wait time is really anyone's guess. Some people have been waiting at ports for months. Some sail right through.

Yeah, they can't recall something that hasn't been delivered to a customer yet.

Took about 2 weeks for my car from Germany to Galveston. About 10 days to resolve RAM issue. Just waiting for carrier to pick up the car and bring it to a dealership here in DFW.

My RAM "enhancement" took around 3-4 weeks if I recall correctly (NJ port). Felt much longer, because that (and a 2 hour drive on a truck) was the only thing standing between me and taking delivery. That was late October/November.

At times, people sail right through in a day or two. And others on this forum have been stuck for 60+ days. Also depends on the port. More frustrating is that you are very unlikely to be able to get any updates or estimates. The BMW genius line will sometimes tell you when your estimated date to have it resolved, and then to ship to your dealer, will be. But those dates are sometimes accurate, and sometimes WAY off.

Good luck! You may - or may not - need it.

To be honest, nobody knows anything. My CA doesn't have any insight. I don't think the GM has really put any effort into looking into this. I've escalated it to customer relations, but they really don't seem to have any information either. Everyone just says "your car is a priority and we'll have it out as soon as we can." That is a load of crap.

i feel you man, this is such a simple process of first come first serve, if your car arrived to port before other it should be done first. worst case scenario theres damage to your car during shipping and they are fixing it.
