Agree with Mikem, you can't go wrong with a Daytona it's a fantastic watch

In London they have big premiums ,But i think now there are a few kicking around at sensible prices like £500 over list .The last one i bought in october 05 cost £3670 i just bought this at £5700 they have increased by £2k in 3 years ,
I sold my 3 year old for £5500 decent profit but still didnt keep up with the price rises by Rolex but mine was due a service at approx £200 so i think i done alright My advise would be if you want one buy it because the waiting lists have been full for years like 5 to 7 years mainly by dealers getting there names down to make a few pounds .I have bought as many as i can since 2000 and always sold at a profit in 2004 i bought 3 at list the two i sold paid for my third one there is always someone willing to pay over list to beat the wait but i have noticed recently the premiums are getting tighter .I dont think its the current economic turn down more to do with the two price increases in the last 8 months around 22% |

I agree, I have had two submariners (I wonder why? ) A steel date submariner which I bought in 1997 for £2100, I traded it in last year for a bi-metallic gold and steel date sub - i got £1700 allowance on the steel watch. I love my watch, I don't particularly like the Daytona - too fussy for me. I just noticed that the price of mine is now £5970, I 'only' paid £4250 for mine this time last year, I guess it might have something to do with precious metal prices? Mine... I bought Mrs G a diamond set dial datejust last xmas as I had had enough grief about me having a Rolex!! Hers..... |

I dont know a lot about watches, but I recently traded my Seconda in for a Zeon. It only cost £4.27 to trade up.
Lovely watches you all have there. Any Breitling owners out there?
