F31 without reverse parking sensors?

Hello,

I recently bought an BMW F31 318D with non OEM parking sensors.

At first, I didn't knew that it was not OEM so it was okay for me but after using it the first day I was intrigued that when I activate reverse I can only hear a loud BIP from the back and not seeing it on the screen ( NBT 6" screen with CIC operating system and no COMBOX ).

After asking friends, it seems that it is not original installation.

Today the PDC stopped working and I suspect that the bipper is broken or something like that because when I put the reverse gear I can hear the PDC probe make a little sound when getting ear close to it.

Questions are :

Is it possible to have a F31 2013 without parking sensors? I tough it was a default option.

Can I change them for an OEM system so it will show it on screen?

I am checking to change for a android 10.25 screen to replace mine, will it works with it or I need to buy the reverse camera and also new PDC system?

Put your VIN here and check if the car came with PDC: https://www.mdecoder.com/

Look for 507 (rear PDC) or 508 (front and rear PDC).

Original PDC will be displayed on the Android screen, with or without camera.

The report confirms that the car came without PDC

Since I don't have any PDC. If I buy an android or Andream new screen and add reverse camera, will it work without PDC?

Yes, I think the PDC/camera interface will be displayed also when you don't have PDC. If it won't directly, it is possible to force display by using reverse light as trigger.

Have you considered retrofitting rear PDC? You could get a good price on harness and PDC unit from the scrap yard, $100 or less.

Yes that's a possibility. Problem is that the current aftermarket PDC that are installed are 22mm and OEM is 18mm if i'm correct so I need to check what I can do without replacing back part of the car

I will ask the sellers of scrap parts in my Area for the price that's a great idea
