320ix back box upgrade - shadow edition or 328i

Hi,

My 320i has a single exit tailpipe which I've always hated look wise so planning a tasteful upgrade to either:

- Stock 328i twin tailpipe back box; or
- Stock 320i twin tailpipe shadow edition back box.

I know the 320i has a 60.2mm OD midpipe and I can get a Ramus K7 adaptor or a 61 to 76 ID adaptor to size up the 75mm OD back box requirements. However, i have the following to ask:

- what does the stock 328i or the 320i shadow edition sound like in sport?

I will be getting the exhaust valves welded open as the 320i did not have a valve control so will always be in "sport mode". I don't mind retro fitting if this has been done??

In terms of exhaust note, I want something a little bit sportier than the basic 320i backbox, but not something that will drone or make me stand out as a "racer" of which I'm far from. I drive mostly in comfort and eco pro on motorways/freeway. I sometimes switch to sport and use the paddles when I'm feeling excitable haha. I have a Racechip, but will likely get a stag 1 remap at some point, but I don't think this will impact the exhausts too much.

To add, I have the m sport diffuser for twin tailpipes already. So slowly getting all the parts together.

If you have any clips of your exhausts that can help me work out which backbox to go for that would be great. Obviously if you're decat or catless it won't show true exhaust note as I'm keeping cat and mid box in. Only looking for a slight exhaust note, nothing raunchy.

Many thanks all

Yeah that's correct, so it will either need welding or need a wireless switch installing that has a remote to open or close it.

Any idea on the difference in sound between these two exhausts?
