License plates?

Does anybody remember how long it took for the DMV to issue their license plates? It's been roughly about 5 weeks and still no plate...

They told me it takes 6-8 weeks in CA. Anyway what's the hurry/worry?

I got mine right at a month, almost to the day. Bought May 21, PLATE on June 23.

I got my plates in 5 weeks...but i still haven't put them on yet.
I like not having plates on my car.....that way if i run a red light....hehe

I transferred my old ones for $3. However, most dealers here can issue brand new steel plates instead of the paper temp ones, and are hooked into the DMV computer. I don't know why it would take five weeks, unless you requested a vanity plate
