It's less about when you order and more about when you pre-ordered. The pre-order was a place in line.

I’m not very hopeful, if they’ve been waiting for the US ordering to open before allocating production dates, even though Europe have been accepting orders since the summer and it’s all going through one factory it could be a very long wait.

I know I put my deposit in on June 2. How could they allocate slots when they do t know what configuration/colors, etc they are going to have. You definitely want to batch for efficiency. But it also doesn't seem fair if delivery is based on pre-order to allocate slots and not include the US in that allocation process.

Mine also went to status 1100 on the 11th November. I suspect BMW ran the IVS production scheduling job on 11th which would take the orders in the queue and make a first stab at mapping out production week based on colours/specs of cars in the order pipeline. My Production week is 18 (May 2- May 8 2022). I have ordered an Individual Colour which adds extra 10-12 weeks lead time to the order. I guess if I had gone for a standard colour the production week would be anywhere from 6 to 8 in 2022 although I suspect that the high spec on my car would have had an impact too.

Just chased my dealer again and they’ve come back and said my production slot is currently May.
Did I see somewhere on here saying if you had an order number you can track your car yourself? |

In the US then you can track the car by BMW AG order number as their website is setup to do this. In the UK you cannot track by BMW AG order number. If you have your 7 digit BMW AG order number then you can ask the BMW Chat Genius which appears in the BMW Configurator - they can tell you the current status.
Your BMW dealer is able to screenshot the BMW IVS system which details all the key details about the car productions status, production week etc It sounds like you have a May production week as do I - did you order an Individual Colour as this is what add extra production lead time to the car. |

If only the lead times weren't so long I would seriously be considering this as a company car (if my accountant doesn't say no) - as it is I could probably get a M3P in a few months before the financial year is over to claw back some corporation tax. |

Hi all, first post.
I’ve placed an order for an i4 M50 using my employers ev salary sacrifice scheme. It makes the i4 incredible value. The supplying lease company are saying early April, however I’ve questioned them on that, I expect more like September. Ive literally just sold my 10 month old M135i back to BMW as I was in positive equity, so I am without a daily. I am looking at other options as well, but pound for pound, the M50 looks sensational on paper. |

It works out cheaper than my previous F40 M135i … you are right, it’s crazy. Several friends / colleagues have ordered.
And I added spec! I keep on getting distracted by the Taycan unfortunately, a chunk more money, but that thing is gorgeous imho |
