While cleaning and conditioning my wife's 2019 X3, I noticed a small crack in the lower seat edge. 2 questions:
1) would this be a warranty item? Or wear? I found this thread that suggests others have had it covered under warranty but they were on older X3's, so looking for any updated experiences.

2) if not, or if dealer refuses, any suggestions on how to prevent it from getting any bigger? I've found a bunch of possibilities on line but not sure which to choose for this application. Figured I'd check with fellow owners first.

Leather cracking is covered under warranty as long as your vehicle still has new vehicle warranty and is shown in the warranty policy and procedures manual.
