Rear bumper tab broken… is it fixable

Hi,

Looks like I have really bad luck on this 5 days old car…

Since I can't install the MP CF diffuser, I try to remove the bumper to install it. Remove the screws and try to pull the bumper out on one side. And this tab broke…

Now I want to find out is this fixable. I don't want to replace the whole bumper… Can I use super glue to fix it?

What is the correct way to remove the side? I unscrew the screw and I pull a little bit harder and it break…

DO I need to pull down the black plastic then pull it out?

Maybe along the lines of "JB Weld" or something just as strong until it can be replaced. JB Weld can be purchased from any hardware store usually.

Hell maybe even polyeurethane pipe fitting glue. That stuff melts the poly to the mating surfaces. That actually might work better than JB Weld.

JB weld would work fine for that. Wouldn't sweat it. Don't use that plumber glue or you won't ever get the ABS parts apart again. Carefully mold the JB weld at the cracked spot and put the bumper back together after it hardens.

What did you end up doing? Just broke both sides on mine, and lost the pieces that snapped off.

I just re-installed everything and it seems to be holding fine…curious to know how yours is holding up.
