Delivery Time To DFW Area?

First off - jeez I am so sorry for flooding these forums. First time soon to be BMW owner and I've never ordered a car, let alone - during a pandemic. Hah!

Anywho,

Im curious as to how quick any of you received your BMW order that live in Dallas or anywhere in Texas. I was told they get there by truck which is roughly 2-5 days vs the freaking 4-5 weeks for shipping to the PNW.

So, people of the DFW area or Texas in general, how long did it take for your car to arrive at the dealership? From order entry to arrival?

Garage List
2021 BMW  [9.83]
Bought mine in June in Grapevine… when I inquired back in May about a custom build, I was quoted 4-6 weeks most likely, but up to 8. Two months is nothing compared to the Porsche world right now. Those guys are getting quoted next SPRING for custom Macan builds.

Plan for 8 weeks is my guess for TX areas.

EDIT: the one I eventually bought was already on order by the dealer… it was about a 95% match to my own build so I put my name on it. Wish I had forced the dealer to put 20s on it, but other than that, I'm super happy I bought when I did…

Ordered mine 7/29 in Grapevine. It was originally scheduled for a mid-September build week but got pulled up and the build finished and moved to “awaiting carrier assignment” on 9/3. Still says that on the my garage page, but got an email from the dealership today stating it’s scheduled to be delivered next week!

Funny - Mine is going to come from Grapevine!

The process started yesterday and I still haven't gotten my paperwork or credit ran. Is it typically this long of a wait just to put my order in?

My SA told me he put in a request for an allocation and that's what the hold up is, but I'm confused.

As long as other people can vouch for their service - I'm fine.

SeaZoobies I’d be all over your dealerships service manager right now. As soon as my service manager placed my order I was given a production number, build date and ETA which turned out to be spot on. I put $500 down and my credit was run right after I placed my order. I suppose every dealership does things differently but it’s a little puzzling why your order wasn’t submitted right there on the spot.

Spartanburg to MN took about 4-5 days for transit for reference.

Did you go with BMW of Minnetonka or...? Im originally from MN so I was going to go through them, but the associate I worked with literally laughed at me and forgot my name and refused to negotiate.

I ordered mine on 8/12/21 and was told last Thursday that it would be in sometime this week. Also picking up at BMW Grapevine.
