I have a very stupid problem that I hope some bright mind knows more about. My car (2008 e90 335D) had bi-xenons from the factory. The previous owner of the car had them replaced with an aftermarket halogen set. When I bought the car I had no idea that the main beam was not working until driving through night and the seller was a complete douchebag about it when I complained to him
My very simple way of trying to fix this was by checking which wire got electricity when I turned on the high beam, then running that wire to the high beam halogen light. This worked for maybe 30 mins of driving until it shut off. I was the able to turn it on again a bit later but once again it shut off. However the symbol is still lighting up in the dash that I have the high beam on. Someone knows about this promblem and how to fix it?
