E92 19" wheels

Hi, so after the 3rd crack in 12 months, I'm wondering if anyone has successfully reduced the wheel size to an 18" and what tyres they put on to match the current circumference and therefore not have to change the speedo etc. Or is life not that simple?

245/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear

I use 235/45/18 front and 255/40/18 rear non-RFT PS4S which fit fine, improved ride significantly, rub not, fill up the wheel wells better, and look great. The speedo is nearly 100% accurate instead of 3-4% fast.

And I have not cut down a tire in these sizes over potholes.

Just an FYI, 17s-19s should be fine without changing the speedo.
