What exactly are "galvanic controls?"
So one of the standard features is "galvanic controls." Having trouble figuring out just exactly what that is! As far as I can figure its just some dress up silver around the buttons. Any insight?

The LCI model the buttons on the doors for windows etc have a silver finish. On pre-LCI this also extended to the heater controls/start button.

It may vary by market, but xLine appears to have black buttons. On the pre-LCI model, certain options also forced galvanic controls, so double-check. When I enquired a while back there was no options to deselect back to black. |

Galvanic Controls are both market and MY dependent. They were not offered at all for US market X3/4s until they became standard on the M40s in MY20. The US Order Guides will tell you which models currently include Galvanic Controls, but I don't believe they are or have ever been optional here.
