Changing wheel tyre sizes

Hi just wondering if there’s be any problems changing my tire sizes and if so what?

I have a e90 05 320i and have a staggered setup 225/40/r18 on the front and 235/40/r18 on the back I changed this to 235/45/r18 on the back because I like the more filled look in the back wheels is this size fine or would I need to change them.

Any help appreciated

No, you should have 255/35/18 on the rear. Look at the placard in the door and manual, it tells you the recommended sizes and you can adjust accordingly.

I upsized mine proportionally with 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 PS4S' and am pleased. I did installed a pair of lowering perches on the front of my stock suspension which lowered it about 1/2". You've got to be careful chasing tire sizes so not to rub fenders or suspension components.

I established the appropriate size for the wheel and space up front and then the correct size for the rear. Don't try to reinvent what BMW Engineers designed, I doubt that you know more than they do or their intentions.

Okay thanks does look great there not big enough to run the fender but give a nice filled look. Would you suggest changing the size and if so what to for a more filled look ?

I run these exact same specs. +10mm width from factory M-Sport. While maintaining the factory sidewall ratio.

I think you should be fine. Just keep an eye on any issue and you can refer to the service centre in case there is any.
