Interior Trim Advice - 22 M440i Cab

Hi all,

I am putting together the specs for a 2022 M440i Cab. I have decided on the Sanremo Green Metallic with Tartufo Merino leather interior. I had planned on going with the Cognac Vernasca but it is not available on the 2022 xDrive model in Canada (although it was available on the 2021 RWD model). However, I cannot decide on the interior trim colour. My last 5 BMWs have all had wood trim (as opposed to carbon or aluminum) as I really like the look of wood. However, this is my first BMW 4 series and first cabriolet so wonder if I should look at something less "formal" and more sporty. Alas the BMW Canada online configurator (i) does not provide a good representation of the actual colours in my view, and (ii) doesn't even include the 2022 colours yet.

I am interested in hearing or seeing what trim colours people think would look good with this car.

Based on the ordering guide, my options are: Oak Grain Open-Pored Wood Trim, Ash Grey-Brown High-Gloss Wood Trim, Aluminum Tetragon Trim, Aluminum Mesh Trim, Carbon Fibre Trim, Piano Black Wood Trim w/Satin Chrome Highlight, Aluminum Fabric Trim and Black Wood Trim w/Silver Effect, Open-Pored.

Thanks in advance.

I think the open pore dark wood looks good with tartufo (doesn't look too formal imo and close to what I had on my M340i - cognac with dark open pore wood).

Are you partial to a matte or gloss finish on the trim?

The oak grain open pore might work well but is almost black (matte finish)
The aluminum mesh effect has a sporty look and is what we opted for, (textured finish, easy to clean)
The aluminum fabric looks good (glossy if you like glossy, pretty sexy imo)

I'd go with either the aluminum mesh effect, aluminum fabric or a brown tone wood trim

Thanks gents. I have the gloss in my current BMW and really like it. I am going to try and configure online with the combos you suggest. At the end of the day it's going to be leased but I figure if I'm building from scratch might as well customize as much as possible.
