Switching 738 wheels with 740

Newbie question here…just picked up my X5 40i this weekend with the xline design which came with the 738 wheels. I like the look of the 740 wheels and see them available to get from the dealer as a complete wheel set. I don’t need a second set of wheels, any recommendations for what I can do to just get a set of the 740 wheels to replace the ones it came with? Would the dealer switch it out for me since I’ve only purchased the car this weekend?

I am selling a whole set of the 740s (tires+wheels still mounted) for a good deal. Message me for more details. Has about 3k miles on the tires.

Dealer is unlikely to take your 'near new' 738 wheels. You can sell them to someone who needs a set of winter wheels. Might take a while to sell (really depends on your market).

As 740s are standard on M Sport versions (depending on market), you might be able to find some good condition sets for cheaper than new (like the post above), as M Sport owners upgrade their own wheels to something else. Just satisfy yourself that the wheels have not been in any accident and are not refurbished (unless you actually want those to go cheaper, then be wary of what you're getting into).

I ordered a new set of 744s with my X Line and sold my 735s.
