Driver Profiles?

What is the advantage of setting up a driver profile, it seems pretty vague to me?

  • If more than one person drives your car, it will change settings depending on the driver
  • If you drive more than one BMW, such as a loan car when you take yours in to the workshop, the settings can be automatically applied to the loan car
  • If you change cars, the settings can be applied to the new vehicle
