E92 M-Sport Ride Height

I recently (last week) had both front Dampers changed on my E92 under warranty to cure a knocking noise when going over speed humps, ever since I am convinced that the front ride height looks wrong......What do you all think?

Also have another problem where the steering wheel is no longer straight when driving on a straight road but i'm sure the dealer can sort that out......

Thanks

Miles

Definately not right but I guess it doesn't bottom out on speed bumps anymore.

Dampers don't affect ride height, maybe they changed something else.

My old E92 from a simlar angle

And on 19's

definitely looks like a bit more space in front..maybe you should go back to the dealer/service manager and ask..with the 19's as standard i'm sure it should look lower than this..

When replacing shock absorbers, it takes some miles of driving for them to take their normal height position. It makes the car look sitting higher for a while.

As for the steering wheel, im pretty sure, that after the replacement, the dealer did not take your car for a wheel alighment.

Have you visually checked the new units to see if there is anything causing this, ie 'blocks' which are loacted in the springs for when cars are in transit, which should be removed by the dealer.... wouldn't expect this on a new set of replacement suspension but ya never know... plus, having seen the very same issue on another car (different forum) and it was this reason why the car looked jacked up, its the 1st thing that sprung to mind.

I thought I'd throw in that Im having problems with the back wheel levels, my drivers side rear wheel constantly sits with one fingers gap between it and the top sill and the passengers side sits with a comfortable three finger gap, regardless of the camber of the road.

I notice from some of the pictures that your drivers side rear wheels also sit pretty close to the bodywork, I'm on 19s and the fronts have pretty normal spacing (3-4 fingers for each wheel)

Thanks for the replies, car is booked in again next Tuesday for them to check the alignment and the ride height, they are also replacing the Clutch pedal mechanism (it makes weird noises) and changing both seals on the differential output shafts as they are leaking.....
