E9X External door handles

2008 E93 with comfort access.

Previous owner replaced passenger door hand with a standard one, so my passenger door doesn't have CA.

My big question is are all E(X platform door handles the same, they appear to be, realoem shows most of the part numbers to be the same with only very few differences.

I've found a handle with CA and illumination on ebay stickered as E90/E91 but is looks perfect and is the right colour.

Can anyone confirm its the same, same size, etc.

Comfort access handles have ridges on the top where your thumb rests. I wasn't aware the passenger side had it too? Are you sure?

Go to realoem.com and put in the last seven digits of your VIN. Then search the parts diagrams to find the door handles. Then put the part number into a search and it will show you all the models that used the same part as yours.

All E9X handles are the same shape and size.
E9X with CA should have it on both driver and passenger door.
My e70 has it on all 4 doors. Haven’t seen an E90 with it on 4 doors.
Pretty sure the handles on a lot of eXX chassis are the same too.

My passenger side has the comfort access handle but does not work on that side..maybe this is an option you could add when purchasing new ?

It should work.
Unless some coding was done to the car or there is another issue.
From the factory, driver CA handle unlocks driver door.
Passenger handle unlocks all doors/trunk
