Need some advice on potential purchase. New to BMW

I am looking at purchasing a 2006 330CI. Has 75k miles, clean title everything seems to work as it should. As far as I know none of the normal things such as valve cover gasket, DISA valve, waterpump, etc. Have been replaced. I can perform most of the work myself so that's not an issue. Just wondering if there is anything that should sway me away or if I should be really concerned with this particular model? I can get the car for about $8k.

2006 model year is a bit confusing as there were both E46 and E90 models produced, the 330Ci is a E46, so this might not be the best forum to get input about it from. That said, I'm an 2006 E90 sedan owner who would also love to also own a E46 330Ci.

If you're getting an 06 330ci that's a lot nicer car than the early e90's IMO (must be a convertible, though?). Best of luck. Try out e46fanatics.com for resources

Careful buddy this is an E90 forum

I don't agree that the 330Ci is nicer than an 06 E90. 330Ci is a really nice car but the E46 has its own share of quirks that make me appreciate my E90.

The e46 is really nostalgic to me. It was the newest 3er when I first got into BMWs (came out when I was like 3-4 years old). I think they're absolutely beautiful cars and in general, I prefer the last year of a generation to the first year of the new one. I think that's pretty fair to say--as I'm sure you know I'd take a 2013 e92 over a 2013 F30 8 days a week.
